What if the Websites You Love Were Turned Against You?

CISPA does not end at the US border!!  HR 624 would allow government agencies to access personal data about ANYONE -WORLDWIDE if they are using internet services based in the United States!!




Dear Senator,


The current CISPA legislation  (H.R. 624: Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act) is unacceptable as it stands.  I ask that you inquire with the technology industry in order to craft a bill which does not garner opposition from more than 34 civil liberties organizations, thousands of technology service businesses, and millions of citizens.


Consider the language being put forth by  Birgitta Jonsdottir, member of the Icelandic Parliament, who is technologically savvy and interested in upholding high standards of privacy for citizens.


It would be an act of courage and a show of wisdom to ask for help, to admit this may not be your field of expertise, to cooperate and listen to the communities and businesses which have insight, knowledge, understanding and vested interest in the outcome of this legislation.
